Today, we went to DSL Mall in Uppal because my mother insisted.
There was a bookstore selling books for just 50 rupees. Most of them were probably used or old.
Anyway, it doesn’t really matter what condition they’re in. What matters is the value they provide and the knowledge we gain.
I wasn’t really into novels. The only one I had read was The Alchemist.
Most of the time, I read self-help books.
When I was going through their collection, I noticed that most of the books were novels. So I took pictures of the shelves, uploaded them to ChatGPT, and asked it to recommend books based on my personality.
It gave me a few suggestions. I chose A Legacy of Spies, and now I’ve started reading it.
The reason I bought a novel and want to read more novels from now on is because of how they convey emotions.
The thought that goes into the writing, the author’s creativity, and the way emotions are delivered really stand out to me.
I also believe authors have stronger visualizing abilities than scientists when it comes to imagining the future.
However, I’m not counting novels under my “read 20 pages a day” goal. I’ll only read them when I’m free instead of watching movies or doom-scrolling.
Fun fact: it’s January 25, and I’m still 350 pages behind my reading goal. That’s equal to the total number of pages in A Legacy of Spies. I could’ve finished the whole book or something equivalent by now.
